CENTRICITY LABS PRIVATE LIMITED, operating the Arise platform (“Arise,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and otherwise process information when you access or use the Arise mobile application, related services, websites, customer support channels, and any associated features (collectively, the “Services”).

1. WHO WE ARE

Arise is a devotional reading platform designed to help users access devotional recitations, read in selected languages, maintain continuity over time, track progress, and use supportive in-app tools, including optional AI-assisted explanatory features.

For purposes of applicable data protection laws, Arise is the controller of personal information processed through the Services unless otherwise stated.

2. SCOPE OF THIS POLICY

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected when you:

  • create or manage an Arise account;
  • use the mobile application on iOS or Android;
  • purchase or manage subscriptions through Apple App Store or Google Play;
  • interact with reminders or notifications;
  • use AI-assisted explanation features;
  • contact support; or
  • otherwise interact with the Services.

This Privacy Policy does not govern third-party platforms, app stores, device manufacturers, or external websites that may have separate privacy practices.

C. App Activity and Continuity Data

  • reminder schedules and usage interactions.

D. Subscription and Billing State

We do not directly collect or store your full payment card information.

Subscriptions may be processed through Apple App Store, Google Play, or their authorized billing systems. We may receive limited subscription-related information such as:

  • subscription status;
  • active plan type;
  • free trial status;
  • renewal, cancellation, or expiration state;
  • store transaction or subscription identifiers;
  • entitlement data provided through subscription management vendors such as RevenueCat.

E. Device and Technical Information

6. AI FEATURES

Our Services may include AI-assisted explanatory tools. By using those features, you acknowledge:

  • outputs may contain inaccuracies or omissions;
  • outputs are informational only and are not professional, theological, legal, medical, or mental health advice;
  • prompts and related inputs may be processed through third-party AI service providers acting on our behalf.

Users should exercise independent judgment when relying on AI-generated outputs.

7. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION

We do not sell your personal information in the ordinary meaning of the term.

9. ACCOUNT DELETION

Users may request deletion of their account through in-app settings or by contacting us.

Upon verified deletion request, we will take reasonable steps to remove active account data from live systems, subject to lawful retention needs, backups, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, compliance, or technical limitations.

Important: Deleting your Arise account does not automatically cancel subscriptions purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions must be managed directly through the applicable store account.

10. NOTIFICATIONS AND REMINDERS

Arise may offer optional reminders and notifications.

You may enable, disable, or modify notifications through:

  • in-app settings; and/or
  • your device operating system settings.

Delivery of reminders may depend on factors outside our control, including:

  • device settings;
  • network availability;
  • operating system restrictions;
  • battery optimization modes;
  • manufacturer controls;
  • background app permissions.

We do not guarantee delivery timing or receipt of notifications.

11. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Your information may be processed or stored in countries other than your place of residence. Where required by law, we take reasonable measures to provide appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

12. SECURITY

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.

13. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The Services are not directed to children under the age permitted by applicable law to use the Services without parental authorization. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.

If you believe a child has provided information improperly, please contact us.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we may provide notice through the app, website, or other appropriate means. Continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.

APP STORE NOTE

For subscriptions purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play, billing, refunds (where applicable), and cancellation mechanics may also be governed by the relevant store’s terms and policies.

This Privacy Policy shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with applicable laws of India. Subject to applicable consumer and data protection laws, courts located in Bengaluru (Bangalore), Karnataka, India shall have jurisdiction over matters arising from or relating to this Policy.

Nothing in this Policy limits any non-waivable rights available under applicable consumer protection laws.
