You may use the Services only if you are at least twelve (12) years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
If you are under the applicable age of majority, you may use the Services only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. In such cases, the parent or legal guardian is responsible for the minor’s use of the Services and for any subscription, purchase, or payment authorization made through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or other approved platform billing mechanism.
By allowing a minor to use the Services, the parent or legal guardian agrees to these Terms on behalf of the minor and accepts responsibility for the minor’s activity, account use, and subscription access.
Additionally, you may use the Services only if:
- you have legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement (or have parent/guardian consent);
- your use of the Services is not prohibited by applicable law; and
- you comply with these Terms.
If you use the Services on behalf of an entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.
Certain features require account creation or sign-in.
You agree to:
- provide accurate, complete, and current information;
- maintain and promptly update your account information;
- keep credentials confidential;
- use only accounts authorized for your use;
- notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access.
You are responsible for activities conducted through your account except to the extent caused by our negligence or misconduct.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts for fraud, misuse, security concerns, breach of these Terms, or where required by law.
Arise is a devotional reading platform that may include:
- devotional reading content;
- language preferences and reading tools;
- progress continuity features;
- bookmarks and saved content;
- goals, streaks, milestones, and progress indicators;
- optional reminders and notifications;
- AI-assisted explanatory features;
- premium or subscription-based features.
We may add, remove, update, improve, suspend, or discontinue any feature at our discretion, subject to applicable law.
A. Paid Access
Certain portions of the Services may require a paid subscription.
Plans may be offered on weekly, monthly, annual, or other recurring billing terms disclosed at the time of purchase.
B. Platform Billing
Subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play are processed by the relevant platform and not directly by Arise.
Billing methods, taxes, pricing display, refunds, renewals, cancellation rights, and related matters may be governed by the relevant platform rules.
C. Automatic Renewal
Unless canceled before renewal, subscriptions may automatically renew for successive billing periods and your selected payment method may be charged by the relevant platform.
D. Free Trials and Promotions
We may offer free trials, introductory pricing, or promotional access.
Unless canceled before the trial or promotional period ends, paid billing may commence automatically where permitted by the applicable platform.
E. Cancellation
Users must manage cancellations through their Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
Deleting your Arise account does not automatically cancel store-managed subscriptions.
F. Restore Purchases
Where available, users may restore eligible purchases through in-app tools or platform mechanisms.
Except where required by applicable law, or where refunds are administered by Apple or Google under their own policies, subscription fees are generally non-refundable once charged.
Nothing in these Terms limits statutory consumer rights available under applicable law.
You agree not to:
- violate any applicable law or regulation;
- misuse or interfere with the Services;
- attempt unauthorized access to systems or accounts;
- circumvent security measures;
- scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data;
- distribute malware or harmful code;
- impersonate another person;
- use the Services for fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful purposes;
- circumvent subscription or entitlement controls.
You remain responsible for your conduct and content submitted through the Services.
If you submit prompts, feedback, suggestions, support messages, or other materials:
- you represent you have rights to submit them;
- you remain responsible for unlawful or infringing submissions;
- you grant Arise a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use feedback and suggestions for improving the Services without compensation.
We do not claim ownership over personal data beyond rights needed to operate the Services as described in the Privacy Policy.
A. Ownership
The Services, including software, code, interfaces, design, branding, logos, databases, compilations, layouts, graphics, audio, text formatting, app structure, and related materials are owned by or licensed to Arise and protected under applicable law.
B. Devotional Source Materials
Certain underlying devotional source materials may be traditional or public-domain in nature.
However, Arise may present app-specific versions involving original selection, arrangement, formatting, normalization, readability enhancements, translation presentation, structuring, summaries, metadata, and related original expression to the extent permitted by law.
C. Restrictions
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, reverse engineer (except where non-waivable law permits), create derivative commercial works from, or exploit the Services except as expressly permitted.
D. No Official Religious Authority
Content is provided for devotional and informational purposes and is not represented as:
- an official critical edition;
- binding theological guidance;
- scholarly certification; or
- formal religious ruling.
Subject to compliance with these Terms, Arise grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access and use the Services for personal, lawful, non-commercial purposes.
The Services may include AI-generated explanations or responses.
By using such features, you acknowledge:
- outputs may be automated;
- outputs may contain inaccuracies or omissions;
- outputs may vary between requests;
- outputs are informational only;
- outputs do not constitute legal, medical, psychological, financial, or formal religious advice.
Users should apply independent judgment before relying on outputs.
We may limit, suspend, modify, or discontinue AI features at any time.
Arise may offer optional reminders or notifications.
Delivery may depend on:
- device permissions;
- operating system settings;
- internet connectivity;
- battery optimization;
- manufacturer restrictions;
- third-party notification infrastructure.
We do not guarantee timing or receipt of notifications.
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes our collection, use, storage, sharing, and protection of personal information.
The Services may integrate with or rely on third-party providers, including payment platforms, hosting vendors, analytics providers, authentication providers, AI providers, and notification services.
We are not responsible for independent third-party products, services, content, outages, or policies beyond our reasonable control.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation of the Services.
Availability may be affected by:
- maintenance;
- updates;
- device compatibility issues;
- telecommunications failures;
- force majeure events;
- third-party outages;
- technical limitations.
We may suspend or modify Services at any time subject to applicable law.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access immediately where:
- these Terms are violated;
- fraud, abuse, or misuse is suspected;
- necessary for security reasons;
- required by law or lawful request;
- continuation becomes commercially impracticable.
You may stop using the Services at any time.
Accrued obligations, payment liabilities, and clauses intended to survive termination shall continue after termination.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
We disclaim warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, reliability, and accuracy, except warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CENTRICITY LABS PRIVATE LIMITED, its directors, officers, employees, affiliates, and service providers shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, including loss of profits, goodwill, data, or business interruption arising from or relating to the Services.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability shall be limited to the amount paid by you to Arise during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or the minimum amount required by law, whichever is greater.
Nothing excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Arise, CENTRICITY LABS PRIVATE LIMITED, and related parties from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from:
- your breach of these Terms;
- misuse of the Services;
- unlawful conduct;
- infringement of third-party rights.
To the extent prohibited by law, this clause shall apply only as legally permissible.
We shall not be liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, civil unrest, cyberattacks, labor disputes, utility failures, epidemics, governmental actions, or network outages.
We may revise these Terms from time to time.
Material changes may be notified through the app or other reasonable means. Continued use after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
Subject to mandatory consumer rights and applicable law, courts located in Bengaluru (Bangalore), Karnataka, India shall have jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these Terms.
Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably. Failing resolution, disputes may be referred to arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. Seat/place of arbitration: Bengaluru, Karnataka. Language: English.
Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable rights available under applicable law.
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other right.
These Terms together with the Privacy Policy and any expressly incorporated policies constitute the entire agreement between you and Arise regarding the Services.
